What you'll be doing
The Redevelopment Educator is responsible for supporting redevelopment-based education within The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN) including development, delivery and evaluation of programs and specific changes due to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead Stage 2 Redevelopment soon to be opened Wattle Building.
A key responsibility of the Redevelopment Educator will be to support, coordinate and provide implementation oversight to the identified services who are part of the Wattle Building redevelopment.
This role will identify and coordinate the required education needs at a local, hospital and network-wide level as one education piece of work.
This role will support the more complex and systems-level education needs that are identified through the existing training needs process. Positional responsibility would also extend to developing and coordinating an orientation program for services, inclusive of mandatory training and simulation activity.
The position liaises with a range of internal and external stakeholders, reporting directly to the CHW Redevelopment Program Director and secondary reporting line to the SCHN Associate Director of Education and Simulation.
- Has a tertiary qualification in healthcare, education or working towards, or equivalent significant experience working within paediatric health care or a combination of study and work experience.
- Demonstrates ability to plan, coordinate, deliver and evaluate education and training programs.
- Values high-level communication and negotiation skills with a diverse range of stakeholder to meet organisational priorities.
