About the role

Are you ready to make a lasting impact in regional Western Australia? We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Advisor – Civil to provide expert guidance on civil operational matters across the operation, maintenance, and construction of infrastructure assets.

In this pivotal role, you’ll support the delivery of high-quality civil works by offering technical advice, ensuring compliance with standards, and contributing to the sustainable management of assets in a dynamic regional environment.

What you can expect with this role

  • Monitoring asset performance to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
  • Identifying opportunities for asset upgrades, improvements, and new provisions.
  • Conducting investigations into operational and asset-related issues, developing practical solutions, and presenting findings through reports and presentations.
  • Supporting maintenance and work planning by helping prioritise tasks based on operational needs.
  • Evaluating project feasibility, considering both technical and economic factors.
  • Contributing to project teams, offering expert advice throughout the project lifecycle—from definition and design to acquisition and close-out.

Your skills and experience

For this role, we are looking for great talent with:

  • A relevant trade certificate and a current C Class Driver’s Licence, with experience in civil water infrastructure operations and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of water, and wastewater systems, and a solid grasp of asset management principles.
  • Proficiency in task scheduling, technical reporting, and data analysis, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Comfortable working independently in remote locations and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Skilled in using engineering software, SAP, and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, with a commitment to safety and high-performance culture.
