1. Supervision and Leadership:
Provide leadership and guidance to a team of support workers by ensuring clear role understanding, conducting regular meetings, and offering performance feedback. Effectively delegate tasks based on individual strengths while also being available to offer direct client support when necessary.
2. Client Care and Support:
Oversee the delivery of personalized, high-quality care services aligned with each individual's care plan. Collaborate with the team to develop and regularly review care plans, monitoring client progress and reporting to the Client Service Manager to ensure optimal outcomes.
3. Training and Development:
Coordinate training sessions and provide ongoing mentoring and coaching to support workers, especially new team members, to strengthen their skills and confidence. Stay informed on industry best practices and regulations, sharing updates with the team to promote compliance and continuous improvement.
4. Communication and Collaboration:
Foster open communication within the team to promote transparency, respect, and collaboration. Act as a liaison among staff, management, clients, families, and external stakeholders, ensuring strong relationships and smooth coordination of care across all involved parties.
5. Administration and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to client care and team performance while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards. Work collaboratively with the rostering officer to manage scheduling and resource allocation, enhancing team efficiency and meeting client needs effectively.
6. Quality Assurance and Improvement:
Monitor and evaluate service quality by identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective action when needed. Conduct audits, assessments, and gather client feedback to ensure satisfaction, while fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence. Ensure workplace health and safety (WHS) policies are effectively implemented and followed.

Pay: $37.00 – $41.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
