Northern Health are seeking applications from a motivated and suitably experienced Health Information Manager/Clinical Coder to join the Coding team.
About Northern Health:
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our five main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.
About the Role:
This role requires an applicant who has a keen interest in clinical coding and casemix.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A good working knowledge of the Australian Coding Standards, Activity Based Funding and statutory reporting requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work in a team environment.
- Participating in Unit Audit meetings to review coding and documentation of recently discharged patients. Eligible for full membership with the Health Information Management Association of Australia.
- Eligible for full membership with Healh Information Management Association of Australia
