The Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Clinical Documentation Specialist (CDS) to join the team at Northern Health.
Northern Health’s innovative and supportive Clinical Documentation Integrity team is looking to expand. In this role, you will facilitate the overall quality of the patient healthcare record, ensuring the clinical documentation is complete and accurate, to support the delivery of high-quality patient care, and adherence to quality standards, the clinical coding process and appropriate reimbursement.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, Allied Health, Medicine, or equivalent.
- 3 years post graduate experience (acute care desirable).
- Experience in clinical coding and understanding of Activity-based Funding concepts (highly desirable)
- Demonstrated interest in quality improvement.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
