A vacancy exists for a highly motivated Clinical Support Officer (CSO) with appropriate knowledge and skills to join C1South- Cardiac/Renal/Infant Surgical Unit at Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick.

The CSO will be responsible for providing administrative support for the unit including assisting the Nursing Unit Manager with rostering, weekly ordering, payroll enquiries and recruitment. We offer flexible rostering across Monday - Friday.

What you'll be doing
The CSO will provide timely and accurate administrative / transactional services for members of the health care team on designated ward(s) / department(s) under the direction of a NUM/Head of department. The CSO will work under broad supervision but will be required to take some independent action. Scope exists for exercising initiative in the application of established work practices and procedures. Decisions affecting the overall functioning and management of the ward / departments remain the responsibility of the NUM/Department Head.
  • Administrative experience working in Health or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience in word processing, excel, iPM and eMR
  • Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of the team in a high pressure, high volume work environment
