About the Role

As the Clinical Support Officer/Medical Secretary in the Department of Geriatric & Rehabilitation Medicine, you will provide essential confidential secretarial and administrative support, ensuring smooth daily operations within the team. You will play a key role in coordinating workloads, managing complex tasks, and working collaboratively with colleagues across the hospital to meet priorities efficiently and accurately.

This position offers the opportunity to be part of a supportive, team-focused environment where your organisational skills and attention to detail will make a real difference. You’ll also provide guidance to junior staff, helping to build a cohesive and effective team that supports the delivery of high-quality care in acute and urgent care settings.

About you

You are a highly organised and resourceful professional with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to delivering outstanding service. You thrive working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, maintaining a calm and confident approach under pressure.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and adapt quickly to change with a positive attitude.

  • Experienced in preparing a variety of documentation, taking minutes, and using Microsoft Office and office equipment efficiently.

  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Knowledgeable in administrative procedures, medical terminology and committed to workplace health, safety and equal opportunity principles.
