About the Role
Thales Cyber Premium Services (CPS) is seeking a highly motivated Network Manager to lead the Network services team for Cloud.
As part of the wider Infrastructure Operations group, you will manage the network architecture and engineering teams, while partnering closely with other tech teams in the Cloud division. This role is key to the daily operational management of delivering services within the MSP environment.
The role is based in Sydney and is open to Australian Citizens who can obtain security clearance.
Some key responsibilities of the role will include:
Leading Network Architects and Engineers from the early design stages, project deployment and ongoing operations including any break fix
Managing customers on a mix of Multi Cloud Networking Platforms (Private and Public Cloud)
Effective remote resource management, with Network staff currently located across Australia and other international locations
About You
With technical expertise and sound experience in Networking, you will ideally bring with you:
3-5 years demonstrated experience in a Networking team people leadership role
Strong technical background within complex IT networking
Experience managing Network technology vendors, and exposure to Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, Meraki
Exposure to multi-vendor telco carriage services
Understanding of Software-Defined Networking and SD-WAN technologies
Knowledge of networking security (NGFW, SIEM, WAF etc)
Advanced routing and switching technologies (multi-vendor) and wireless networking technologies skills
Experience in both Private and Public Cloud networking (VMware, Azure and AWS)
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to effectively consult with customers and internal stakeholders
Highly consultative approach to challenges and solutioning
Sound judgment and independent decision making
High level of coachability and curiosity to continue learning
Exceptional ability to prioritise in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
The following technical competencies will be highly regarded:
Exposure and experience with VMware NSX
Compute and Storage experience
Degree or equivalent qualification in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or other related technical field
