About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Coal Distribution & Process Coordinator to join our Northern Coal Services (NCS) team in the Lake Macquarie region.
This is a pivotal role for an experienced and proactive leader who can drive process efficiency, manage coal distribution logistics, and ensure operational excellence within our surface-based coal handling and preparation activities.

Reporting to the NCS Manager, your responsibilities include:
- Leading the CHPP and coal haulage teams to meet safety, environmental, and operational targets
- Implementing and maintaining the site’s Safety and Environmental Management Systems within your area of responsibility
- Managing coal distribution and logistics through coordination with road and rail haulage contractors to meet customer delivery timelines
- Monitoring coal quality, quantity, and movement to ensure compliance with customer specifications and accuracy in reporting and invoicing
- Administering contracts related to coal movement and haulage to ensure performance and value
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders including contractors, customers, and marketing representatives
- Participating in the continuous improvement of operational processes, performance metrics, and reporting
- Leading, developing, and mentoring your team to promote high performance, accountability, and a strong safety culture

Suitable candidates will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or similar discipline
- Demonstrated experience in coal processing, logistics, or related mining operations
- Proven leadership capabilities and the ability to drive team and contractor performance
- Strong knowledge of haulage logistics and coal movement management
- High level of organisational and planning skills
- Ability to interpret and manage operational budgets and cost reviews
- Experience in implementing safety and environmental systems in line with statutory requirements
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a focus on continuous improvement
