As the Communications and Engagement Lead for the Research Strategy, you'll play a pivotal role in implementing the University of Melbourne's ambitious research agenda. You'll design and execute engagement strategies that have university-wide impact, working closely with diverse stakeholders to ensure the success of our new research strategy. This role offers you the opportunity to combine your technical expertise with creative problem-solving skills in a dynamic, high-impact environment.
Your responsibilities will include
Develop and Implement Engagement Strategies: Design comprehensive communication and engagement plans to support the Research Strategy Implementation Program.
Lead Collaborative Projects: Work across teams to align communications with project delivery, ensuring quality outcomes and enhancing project success.
Craft Impactful Communications: Create clear, concise materials for diverse stakeholders, from presentations to website content.
Manage Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain complex relationships across the university, facilitating effective engagement at all levels.
You may be a great fit if
You are an experienced communications professional with a track record of designing and implementing stakeholder engagement initiatives in complex environments, combining technical expertise with creative problem-solving and collaborative stakeholder management skills.
You may also
Have a postgraduate qualification with extensive professional experience in medium to large organisations.
Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills across various mediums.
Have significant experience in designing and delivering complex communication and engagement initiatives.
Demonstrate a proven ability to build and maintain complex stakeholder relationships, including with senior stakeholders.
Excel at working effectively in complex, ambiguous environments and delivering successful outcomes within defined timeframes.
Have experience in the tertiary education or equivalent sector.
