Role Overview
The Community and Stakeholder Engagement Advisor will support engagement with our project neighbours, community groups, Community Consultative Committees and other key stakeholders on Projects. They will also help develop and implement benefit sharing plans through, development, delivery and operations.
Part of a growing stakeholder engagement team, this role will:
- Support the development, delivery and operation of projects, including the preparation and implementation of community and stakeholder engagement plans on projects across Australia
- Represent Tilt Renewables to local communities and stakeholders, through written, phone and in-person communications
- Enhance Tilt Renewable’s positive reputation as a renewable energy developer and operator by providing information and liaising with the local communities
- Actively manage social risk on Projects with a focus on maintaining positive relationships with communities and key stakeholders on projects
- Assist with corporate communications activities such as political engagements, press releases, sponsorship and branding
Key Accountabilities
Support the Development and Delivery Teams
- Preparation and implementation of stakeholder and community engagement plans for projects in development and delivery
- Support and lead engagement activities
Community Engagement and representing projects in the local area
- Frequently visit communities surrounding projects, understand issues and values
- Answer enquiries and complaints, arrange and attend one-on-one meetings with local residents to discuss project specifics
- Corporate communications assistance on activities such as media releases, sponsorship and branding activities
Preparation and provision of project information
- Prepare public information including newsletters, construction updates, presentation materials, media releases, website updates, and other relevant briefing materials as required
- Identify additional or new communication channels and material to assist in effective community engagement
Project Management
- Applying project management principles to manage multiple deadlines
- Maintaining accurate project records including updating and managing the relevant project stakeholder contact databases
- Providing accurate and timely information about communication activities to the team to enable organisational reports to be produced, as required
Ensure Best Practice
- Work in accordance with established Tilt Renewables practices and systems, and best practice engagement guidelines
- To review project processes and practices to ensure adherence
Skills and Experience
- Experience of liaising with local communities and stakeholders
- Understanding of the IAP2 spectrum, community engagement principles and techniques for rural communities
- Knowledge of the challenges and opportunities involved in delivering energy or infrastructure projects
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team and liaising with different internal subject matter experts’
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification with a minimum of two years of experience in community engagement, community relations, stakeholder management in the renewable energy or relevant other industry
- Valid driving licence
