About the role...
An exciting opportunity has opened at the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) for a Content Manager & Editor. As a critical contributor in the Marketing Team, you will be responsible for developing and executing content plans and strategies across a diverse range of RAS business units.
Your key focus areas will be:
- Develop Content Marketing Plans that:
- Support agreed marketing and business goals of the RAS organization & its brand pillars
- Integrate across multiple traditional and digital content formats and channels.
- Encompass whole-of-business integration and collaboration
- Execute Content Creation and Production through end-to-end management and implementation of a wide variety of content requirements across mediums, publications, and platforms, including but not limited to:
- Traditional: RAS Times publication, RAS & RAS Foundation Annual Reports, Sydney Royal Easter Show Official Show Guides & reference materials. This includes content creation, editing & publishing
- Digital: 4 x RAS websites (RASNSW | SRES | Sydney Showground | Australasian Animal Registry); digital marketing communications, including eDMs, social media blogs & post copy; advertorials across RAS owned & external websites & channels. Incorporate search engine optimization (SEO) best practices to improve content visibility and drive organic traffic.
- Oversight of photography & videography scopes of work including vendor management.
- Speeches & biographies as required.
- Proof reading of other internal communications and documents, in collaboration with internal departments.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally
- Brand guardianship, through supporting implementation and ensuring consistency
- Provide advice and input for colleagues regarding content strategies and campaigns
You will have:
- 5+ years’ work experience in Journalism, publishing or other relevant field – essential
- High level of short and long form copywriting skills – essential
- Project management skills and attention to detail – essential
- Excellent communication and writing skills and grammar in English – essential
- Experience working with cross-functional teams – essential
- Experience in agriculture and/or events – desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite – essential
- Adobe Suite / Photoshop - desirable
- Content Management Systems – desirable
