About the program
Wesley Retirement Living offers residential options for seniors over 55 to live independently in communities of like-minded residents. Our communities provide services to complement the needs of the residents, and provide secure settings in which to live the later years of life.
With villages at Sylvania (south of Sydney) and Carlingford (north west Sydney), Wesley Retirement Living offers 417 independent living units and services for singles and couples interested in living in a community of seniors.
About the role
Wesley Retirement Living is looking to employ a team member who will support our sales and village staff through administrative processes focussed on contract, information and financial services.
The role will support sales staff by preparing resident contracts and associated documentation, and establishing electronic records for new residents in a Client Record Management system (CRM) and Wesley Mission’s financial system, Peoplesoft.
The role will be responsible for the refund process when a resident departs a Wesley Mission village, ensuring necessary documentation is completed to allow for refunds to be made to residents or their estates within legislated timeframes. This will include calculation and preparation of refund amounts and associated documentation.
The role will also manage and follow up debtors within the villages.
The ability to operate electronic CRM and financial systems is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively and with sympathy and compassion when needed.
The role can be based at either of our Retirement Village sin Sylvania or Calringford, however there is an expectation that at least one day each fortnight will be spent in each village.
The position works three days each week, with flexibility of days between Tuesday – Friday.
The successful applicant will:
- The ability to work across and from multiple sites, prioritising workload to meet demand and deadlines
- Demonstrated experience with interpreting legislative guidelines and regulations
- Willingness to affirm Wesley Mission’s vision, mission and values and enthusiastically advocate our Word and deed ministry
- Ability to build effective relationships with direct and indirect team members
- Empathy and understanding to deal with potentially difficult situations when a resident leaves the village
- An ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities with quick response times
Essential criteria
- Experience working within financial systems and undertaking financial calculations
- Sound numeracy skills
- Ability to operate electronic financial and Client Record Management systems
- An understanding of retirement villages and the importance of their part in the lives of residents and their families
- Ability to work to direction, and to work to instructions when required.
- Ability to follow detailed organisational and legislative guidelines and processes
- Ability to interpret contracts
- Effective communication skills to liaise with residents, families, estates and debtors
- An understanding of NSW Retirement Village Legislation, specifically around fees, charges and refunds
- Finance or accounts related qualifications
- Current NSW Class C Drivers Licence
Classification: Clerical & Admin Employee, Grade 5
Pay Rate: $ 34.22 / hour
Plus superannuation and leave entitlements
