Brimbank is continuously growing, with many transformational infrastructure projects about to break ground. A key focus of the coming years will be working with the State and Federal Governments to establish Melbourne Airport Rail; to complete redevelopment of Sunshine and Albion Stations; and the realisation of the Sunshine Precinct Masterplan which will Sunshine transformed into a CBD, vastly increasing local jobs, housing, businesses, services and tourism to provide for the many tens of thousands of people living, working and travelling through the Brimbank.

We are currently seeking a Temporary Full Time (12 months) staff member to join our team based at our offices in Sunshine.
The role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Coordinator Ageing, Inclusion and Carers to join our team, reporting to the Manager Community Care. In this role, you will:
Manage the operation of a range of ageing, inclusion and carers support services ensuring operations are consistent with Council and Government policies and accepted professional best practice.
Lead and foster a psychologically safe work environment and constructive team culture through contemporary leadership practices.
Implement effective and efficient systems to support appropriate and cost-effective quality service outcomes for clients, and the provision of timely qualitative and quantitative service data and information.
Foster a strong customer service ethic and embed systems of program evaluation, continuous improvement, innovation and service reviews.
Build and maintain networks, relationships and partnerships with the ageing, inclusion and carers service sectors and peak bodies and to position Council to play a sector stewardship role.
To be considered you will have:
Relevant formal tertiary qualification supported by extensive professional experience.
Demonstrated experience in the management and delivery of community services.
Experience in social research, policy development and service planning.
Demonstrated experience in staff management, supervision and change management
Excellent facilitation, negotiation, problem-solving, liaison and communication skills including well developed written and oral skills
