Are you a data enthusiast who thrives on turning insights into action? As Coordinator, Library Analytics at Curtin, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving a culture of evidence-based decision-making within the Library.
This new role offers a rare opportunity to shape how analytics is developed and embedded across the Library. You’ll lead the design and delivery of reporting capabilities that turn raw data into strategic insights - informing decisions around collections, services, research performance, and future innovation.
Working closely with the Manager, Research Services and a dynamic team of library professionals, you’ll track trends, evaluate performance, and help us continuously enhance how we support students, researchers, and the wider university community.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyse usage, cost, and performance data to inform decisions on the acquisition, renewal, or cancellation of Library resources, ensuring value and impact.
- Perform regular and ad-hoc data collection, analysis, and benchmarking across strategic research areas to provide insights into research impact and inform the ongoing evaluation and development of library services and performance.
- Create impactful reports, visualisations, presentations, and discussion papers that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for a range of audiences.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate access to data and information essential for analysis and reporting.
- Develop and implement data management practices that enhance the organisation, accessibility, and reusability of data across the Library.
- Experience in collecting, manipulating, and analysing data using both quantitative and qualitative methods, with strong analytical and diagnostic skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Experience using relational database systems and query tools to extract, analyse, and present data effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, accessible reports and visualisations tailored to diverse audiences.
- Proven project coordination and time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered
