About your new Role

In this position within VGA you will be responsible for actively promoting the sale of Volkswagen Passenger and Commercial, Audi, CUPRA and Skoda Vehicles to the Corporate Fleet segment whilst acquiring new and maintaining ongoing business with Fleet clients.


Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Prospect and identify potential corporate clients by utilizing a network of contacts and initiating contact and building relationships with potential clients

  • Develop and implement a program for gaining incremental Corporate Fleet sales opportunities, including identification and direct prospecting

  • Preparation and presentation of responses to client tender / RFP processes

  • Maintain and evolve relationships with existing Fleet clients and Fleet Management Organisations through strategic account management and conducting visits of Account customers to ensure strong customer relationships

  • Present product and general training to key clients and Fleet Management Organisations to ensure Volkswagen Group Australia gains maximum share of wallet

  • Maintain accurate and up to date customer database and oversee administration of Volkswagen Group Australia fleet account vehicle ordering, invoicing and delivery

  • Ensure information flow of ordering, invoicing and delivery with both the respective brand and Finance Departments and with suppliers, Dealers and Fleet Customers

  • Contribute to the Development of Fleet Business / Partner with Dealerships to achieve Fleet Objectives by working with the dealer network in order to develop and improve Corporate Sales Business and developing and evolving relationships with dealership Fleet Sales teams

  • Partner with dealers to identify and approach Corporate fleet prospects, with a focus on the Corporate Australia and participate and assist with Fleet functions and events

  • Manage Fleet account aftersales relationships by ensuring that technical support is maintained by utilising relevant VGA departments


About you
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following:

  • Sound experience and understanding of fleet industry

  • Sound understanding and experience of dealer operations

  • Understanding of vehicle mechanical and/or technical applications/operations

  • Strong product knowledge

  • Proven experience in business development and relationship management

  • Logical and practical approach to problem solving and decision making

  • Highly developed communication (both written & verbal) and interpersonal skills

  • Exceptional customer service, conflict resolution and negotiation skills

  • Action oriented and results focussed with ability to work independently

  • High attention to detail and time management skills
