About the role
Brisbane Private Hospital is seeking a CSSD Team Leader to join our Perioperative team on a full time basis. In this fast paced and varied environment you will utilise your excellent clinical skills and customer service skills to maintain the highest operational standards of the sterilisation service.

As a CSSD Team Leader your responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team to achieve tasks in a timely manner
- Ensuring the standards of sterilising practice and infection control are followed at all times
- Cleaning, washing, packing, wrapping and sterilising of reusable instruments, equipment and consumables used in operating theatre and clinical areas
- Performing, interpreting, documenting and overseeing mechanical, chemical and biological quality assurance tests on instrument washers and sterilisers to ensure that they are performing to set standards (AS/NZS4187)
Essential Criteria:
- Authority to Work in Australia
- Working with Children check (if relevant)
- Ability to work morning and afternoon shifts
- Certificate III in Sterilisation
- Certificate IV in Sterilisation (desired)
- 5 years’ experience working in a hospital CSSD essential
- Sound knowledge of AS/NZ 4187 2014
- Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation
- Experience with tracking systems
- Endoscopy reprocessing experience or willingness to learn
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
- Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS office and various data bases
- An interest in promoting best practice patient care
- A focus on professional development
