About the Role
As Customer Service Team Leader, you’ll play a vital role in delivering responsive, community-focused service across our phone, digital, and front counter channels.
This 12-month fixed term position offers a unique opportunity to lead day-to-day operations, support a motivated team, and help shape how our organisation is experienced by the public.
You’ll work closely with team members to manage workflows, resolve service issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
The environment is fast paced but highly collaborative, with a strong team culture built on trust, shared values, and good humour. About the Successful Candidate
You’re looking to take the next step in your leadership journey and want to do it in a team that’s supportive, experienced, and genuinely enjoys working together. You bring a strong foundation in customer service—ideally across phone, digital, and face-to-face channels, and you're ready to grow your skills in people leadership and operational coordination.
Experience in local government or a similar regulated, community-focused sector would be a strong advantage, especially if you’re familiar with working within formal service standards, legislative frameworks, or public accountability. But just as important is your ability to stay calm under pressure, think on your feet, and lead with empathy, optimism, and practical judgement.
You’ll be guiding a capable and committed team, helping them thrive while shaping your own leadership style. If you’re motivated, people-focused, and ready to grow, we’d love to support you on your journey.
