About the role
This role is critical to the safety and security of the ACMA’s digital, data and technology estate. As a digital-first business, we adopt a suite of contemporary technologies that you will play a leading role in protecting, including cloud services.
As the Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be at the front line of the ACMA’s cyber defence. Your day-to-day will involve delivery of a range of strategic and tactical cybersecurity activities to protect our people, information and systems from cybersecurity threats.
You will be a key contributor to the implementation of the ACMA’s cybersecurity strategy and support the development of security policy, standards, processes and procedures to enable us to achieve our cybersecurity objectives.
The Cybersecurity Analyst reports to the IT Security Manager and works consultatively and collaboratively with all members of the ICT Security team, and key project personnel that support cybersecurity maturity uplift and resilience initiatives. You will use your specialist skills and draw from your experience to inform, guide and advise leaders, peers and stakeholders on cybersecurity matters.

Candidates must have tertiary qualifications in ICT or a related field and/or demonstrated equivalent experience in IT and cybersecurity.
Candidates that can demonstrate experience in one or more of the following domains will be highly regarded:
- enterprise desktop, server, or network support in a government or large corporate environment
- ICT and/or cybersecurity operations and compliance
- implementation and management of cybersecurity tools and technologies, including SIEM/SOAR, network and endpoint detection and response, and vulnerability management platforms.
