Your Team
The Data Science and Engineering team is part of CFS’ Customer Office, which is accountable for our customer’s experience of the brand, products and services. The Data and ML Engineering lead reports to the Director, Data Science and Engineering and is accountable for building robust, automated, and production-grade data systems. This role is ideal for someone who combines technical excellence with a strong understanding of business needs, and who can deliver hands-on solutions.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data and ML workflows on Databricks, ensuring repeatability, testing, and automation.
- Establish and enforce MLOps and DataOps best practices, including model lifecycle management, deployment automation, and monitoring.
- Build and optimize data quality frameworks and data control mechanisms, including validation, lineage, and anomaly detection.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable, production-ready solutions.
- Develop and maintain observability and alerting for data pipelines and ML models using tools like MLflow, Datadog, or Prometheus.
- Work hands-on in Databricks to build, test, and deploy data pipelines, notebooks, workflows, and integrations.
Your Capability and Experience
- Extensive experience in data engineering, ML engineering, or DevOps roles.
- Proven, hands-on experience with Databricks, including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows, and MLflow.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins) and automation practices.
- Deep understanding of data quality controls, validation frameworks, and governance principles.
- Exceptional SQL and Python skills and phenomenal attention to detail.
- Prior experience leading a team of data and/or ML engineers will be highly regarded.
