Our Opportunity
The Data Archival Specialist will lead the implementation and ongoing management of the Enterprise Data archival needs with special focus on OpenText Information Archive platform at Australian Unity enabling enterprise-wide archival of structured and unstructured data. This role is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of data archival services — from solution design and integration to operational execution — ensuring archived data is secure, accessible, and managed in accordance with retention and compliance requirements.
Accountabilities include:
- Lead the deployment and configuration of OpenText Information Archive.
- Own the product roadmap and ensure alignment with enterprise data strategy.
- Collaborate with Strategic partners and internal teams to ensure successful integration and delivery.
- Manage and prioritise archival requirements across business portfolios.
- Oversee data onboarding, archival execution, and retrieval processes.
- Hands-on experience with OpenText Information Archive or a similar tool to configure, integrate, and optimise archival workflows.
- Develop and implement tools and pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and processing — particularly with major hyperscalers - AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premise environments.
- Ensure seamless integration of archival solutions with enterprise data platforms, supporting secure, compliant, and efficient data lifecycle management.
- collaborate with strategic partners and various internal teams to deliver a scalable, cloud-native archival solution
About You
To be successful in the role you will have hands-on expertise with any Commercial Off the Shelf Data Archival tool with strong preference to OpenText Information Archive, strong ETL development experience, and familiarity with hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP), on-premise data services, and enterprise data management and lifecycle practices. You will also be able to demonstrate the following capabilities / experience:
- Experience working in cloud-based environments to support data archival processes, including ingestion, transformation, and movement of data from source systems to archival platforms.
- Familiarity with enterprise data management and data lifecycle practices, including retention and compliance.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across business and technology teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
