About the Role:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Delivery Partner Recruitment Specialist to join our Operations team and help grow a dependable network of independent delivery contractors (IDCs) across key regions. You will collaborate closely with the internal IDC team to ensure we attract, engage, and onboard contractors who align with our operational standards and values.
In this role, you’ll manage the end-to-end contractor sourcing process, maintaining a healthy pipeline, facilitating onboarding, and ensuring all compliance and insurance requirements are met. An understanding of transport and logistics, as well as independent contract laws and regulations, will be important in navigating contractor expectations and ensuring alignment from the outset.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with the broader Operations and Business Development teams to ensure contractor engagement supports delivery targets, regional needs, and safety standards. Your work will play a key role in service coverage, operational growth, and contractor retention, supporting a delivery network that’s reliable, flexible, and built for scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, attract, and engage independent delivery contractors (IDCs) in line with business needs and regional volume demand.
- Maintain a consistent contractor pipeline through proactive outreach, targeted attraction strategies, and community engagement.
- Facilitate the end-to-end onboarding process, including documentation, compliance checks, insurance verification, and system setup.
- Streamline recruitment and onboarding processes to improve efficiency, contractor experience, and time-to-activation.
- Build strong, transparent relationships with contractors, ensuring alignment with business standards, expectations, and values.
- Maintain a customer-focused mindset in all interactions, delivering clear communication and positive experiences for contractors.
- Collaborate with the IDC Lead and IDC Specialist to monitor regional coverage gaps and prioritise recruitment activity accordingly.
- Work closely with Human Resources and Operations teams to ensure all contractors meet required legal, safety, and insurance standards.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to contractor sourcing, onboarding status, and workforce capacity.
- Monitor contractor performance and retention trends, escalating concerns or gaps to the appropriate team leads.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement of sourcing strategies, onboarding workflows, and engagement initiatives.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in recruitment or contractor management, ideally within transport, logistics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of independent contractor models and onboarding processes.
- Understanding of business insurance, liability, and compliance requirements.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams effectively.
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent organisational and attention-to-detail skills.
Why Join Dragonfly Shipping?
- Competitive remuneration package.
- Enjoy a hybrid working environment.
- Dynamic team-oriented, supportive environment.
- Growth and development opportunities in both Australia and Canada.
- Opportunity to make a genuine impact and be a part of a rapidly growing company.
Drive growth, fuel connections, and recruit the contractors that keep deliveries moving every day!
