Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The successful candidate will provide high level confidential support to the Head of Department and Staff Specialists of Radiation Oncology Nepean Hospital including diary management, meeting coordination, correspondence, records management, rostering, recruitment, procurement, TESL, production of complex business documents, data analysis and other duties as required. This position is also the secretariat for the RO Trust.

What you will bring to the role

  • Demonstrated capacity to provide effective and professional administrative support, in confidence and with discretion within a busy and complex office environment.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to problem solve and use professional judgement.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer applications including Document Management Systems such as Content Manager, all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite of Applications, Rostering Systems, Recruitment Systems, Procurement Systems and Patient Databases.
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing and evaluating quality improvement processes for administrative services and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with changing priorities and demands, work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise tasks whilst under sustained pressure and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
