Your role:
Transdev John Holland Buses is seeking to fill a vacancy for a permanent Depot Supervisor. The position will be located at the Waverley Depot but may be required to work across all 3 depots upon request. Hours of work will be from Monday to Friday with a span of hours ranging from 6:00am to 5:00pm.
The role of the Depot Supervisor is to assist the Depot Service Delivery Manager in the coordination of the daily operations at the Depot, including all activities which support our bus operators in the achievement of the Depot performance targets and standards.
Your responsibilities:
- Provide strong leadership and supervision skills in managing work priorities, effective performance management and the ability to guide and motivate bus operators to ensure that service requirements are met.
- Provide effective and confident people management skills.
- Support the day-to-day delivery of TJHB’s bus services by ensuring that the Depot meets all customer and contractual requirements and other statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Lead a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the depot and contribute to the overall success of TJHB.
- Assist in the analysis of daily, weekly and monthly operational performance identifying improvement opportunities
- Lead a culture of safety, accountability and service excellence in the depot.
- Work collaboratively with operational teams to develop and implement sustainable solutions.
- Conduct performance discussions and coaching support for Drivers.
The talent you bring:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the service industry, transport, logistics industry or parallel industry.
- Hold a current or ability to obtain TLIF0006 Apply Fatigue Management Certificate.
- Hold a current or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certificate.
- Be able to obtain a Working with Children Clearance (WWCC).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to undertake performance management discussions and interviews.
- Establish positive relationships and gain cooperation with the workforce.
- Strong attention to detail, highly organised with an ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Strong people leadership skills with a demonstrated capability of leading with clarity and care.
- Operational problem solver who thrives under pressure.
- Strong leadership and supervision skills in managing work priorities and the ability to undertake performance management discussions and interviews as required
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to interpret and apply relevant policies, practices and Industrial instruments.
