Your Role
The Deputy Principal drives strategic improvement across the college by leading curriculum implementation, building teaching expertise, and using data to enhance learning outcomes. This role supports whole-school improvement through leadership in curriculum planning, assessment literacy, and moderation, ensuring alignment with college priorities.
As the Deputy Principal, you will:
Lead the enhancement of a culture of learning, with a strategic focus on the delivery of the Australian Curriculum (ACARA V9) through the College's Curriculum Plan and AC V9 Road Map.
Lead the horizontal and vertical alignmnet of curriuclum, formative assessment practices, and assessment literacy development.
Analyse and discuss student achievement and engagement data.
Drive systematic curriculum implementation through the alignment of vertical and horizontal curriculum, and delivery of the College's approach to moderation, assessment literacy, and formative assessment.
Build an expert teaching team, deliver classroom coaching and lead professional learning aligned to the colleges curriculum, assessment and planning and KCARF.
Line manage some curriculum HODS and House Leader. Oversee attendance tracking, complex case management, enrolment interviews, reporting, immunisations, P-T Interviews, awards night, excursions, calendars and consent management, PGD roster processes, and SharePoint systems for document sharing.
Through these responsibilities, you will play a critical leadership role in maintaining BSSC's academic excellence and operational rigour while fostering its core values of Respect, Courage, and Excellence.
