Role Description/Criteria

St Mary’s College for the deaf is a specialist school providing a flexible inclusive education ranging from full immersion in mainstream classes (through partner schools) with specialist adjustments and resources to an individualised program of part immersion, part learning in small classes with Teachers of the Deaf on individualised courses of work and personal goals. We operate from within a number of Catholic mainstream schools across Melbourne, delivering an education in partnership.

This is a three years fixed-term contract (underpinned by an ongoing teaching position), with a possible second period of appointment.

Commencing Term 1 2026, we are seeking 2 Deputy Principals:

  • Deputy Principal - Learning and Engagement
  • Deputy Principal - People and Operations

The Deputy Principals work as members of the St Mary’s College Senior Leadership team, collaboratively supporting the broader strategic intent across all aspects of college life. Opportunities exist to be based at one of 5 locations, Ringwood, South Morang, Dandenong, Wantirna South or Sunbury. Some travel between campuses will be required.
