Your new role

We’re seeking a Designer / Drafter to join our Design & Estimating team. This casual role (8–20 hours per week) involves preparing drawings, site layouts, and documentation for modular building projects, ensuring compliance with NCC, Australian Standards and Ausco specifications. The role can be performed remotely, offering flexibility and requiring a strong commitment to variable working hours as business needs arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural drawings (3D modelling, plans, elevations) of Ausco buildings, site layouts & Sale support using Autodesk REVIT drawings.
• Deliver project documentation from design through to manufacture, including “As Built” drawing packages.
• Prepare accurate, clear, and practical production drawings for manufacturing.
• Ensure design conformance with Australian Standards and Ausco standards.
• Maintain drawing registers and transmittals.
• Support compliance with Ausco Modular’s HSE, quality, and governance policies.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 3 year's experience in building industry design and drafting.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and architectural documentation.
• Strong construction knowledge and familiarity with building regulations.
• Good problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.

Preferred but not essential:

• Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting, Building Design, or equivalent.
• Experience in the modular building industry.
