Job Description
- Client-Side Leadership: Lead design management for large scale complex building and civil projects, overseeing multiple interfacing projects within live environments.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate design reviews with multiple stakeholder groups ensuring alignment with client expectations.
- Design Governance: Manage design approvals and endorsement processes, ensuring compliance with project standards and timelines.
- Consultant Oversight: Direct and coordinate external design consultants, ensuring deliverables meet quality and scope requirements.
- Public-Facing Projects: Apply your experience in customer-facing public buildings to deliver functional, user-centered design outcomes.
- Client Office Presence: Work on-site in the client’s Brisbane office, fostering strong relationships and real-time collaboration.
Qualifications
- Relevant Degree: Tertiary qualification in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering is essential.
- Client-Side Experience: Proven experience as a client-side design manager, ideally within complex brownfield projects.
- Strong Design Sensibility: Ability to interpret and guide design intent with clarity, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Effective Communicator: Clear, articulate, and confident in presenting ideas and following through on feedback.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled in managing diverse stakeholder groups and navigating complex approval pathways.
- Personal Attributes: Organised, independent, tenacious, and a collaborative team player with a high level of initiative.
