Do work that matters

As our Desktop Support Technician, you will be based in Forest and be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users in a fast-paced, dynamic environment across the ACT and Regional Southern NSW. You will be required to troubleshoot and resolve desktop, software, and hardware issues for internal colleagues. In this role, you will also be responsible for maintaining and upgrading laptops, desktops and peripherals in campus locations as well as Branch.

  • Provide desktop support to end-users, both in-person and remotely.

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop hardware and software.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve desktop and peripheral issues.

  • Install and maintain desktop operating systems and applications.

  • Perform desktop and application upgrades as needed.

  • Maintain and manage hardware inventory.

  • Provide timely and effective communication to end-users and IT management.

  • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex issues.

We’re interested in hearing from people who possess the following:

  • Recent experience in desktop support.

  • Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems, such as Windows and macOS.

  • Experience with desktop hardware and peripherals.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other common business applications.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Flexible with working locations as this role requires travel between locations to assist with technical queries
