About Only About children

We believe children have a right to a choice when it comes to their learning, so at Only About Children (OAC) the basis of our curriculum is child-led play-based learning. This is embedded into our daily practice with programs such as Active, Drama, Language, Music & Sustainability. Our programs are not `bolted on' - they are embedded into everything that we do. We operate over 80 Campuses across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and provide high-quality early years education and care to over 8000 families.

About the Role

Our Brisbane Campuses are looking to welcome full-time Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educators with at least two years of full-time work experience in an Early Childhood setting who will get the opportunity to work with our friendly, supportive, and fun teams. This is a full-time role opportunity for a Diploma qualified Room Leader and we offer an annual salary of $68,865 - $78,000 + Super, depending on qualifications and experience.

  • Ensure that our children are educated and cared for to the highest standard.
  • Ensure every child is able to engage with educators in meaningful, open interactions that support the acquisition of skills for life and learning.
  • Interact with each child in a warm and responsive way and build trusting relationships.
  • Facilitate a nurturing and loving environment for the children at the campus.
  • Provide childcare services that comply with the national regulations, the National Quality Framework (NQF), and support the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Provide ongoing input for all documentation associated with Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) requirements.
  • Ensure delivery and maintenance of routines and programs specific to the room including small groups.
  • Implement the Grow curriculum within the Campus.
  • Document the children's learning through the OAC Connect app, supporting and mentoring other team members.
  • Create and set up interesting learning environments for the children in line with OAC Grow.
  • Work as a team and ensure that you support and respect other team members about developmental outcomes and school readiness in consultation with the Campus Director.

As a Room Leader, the role will see you working in collaboration with the wider team to ensure our children are inspired to learn in a safe and exciting learning environment. In addition, the role will see you:

  • Inspire children through play-based and interest focused activities
  • Mentor a team of Educator through educational guidance
  • Create meaningful partnerships with families, children, and educators to create positive outcomes for all children in our care
  • Plan and program with support from the OAC Grow Curriculum and EYLF
