Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable In-Home Support Worker to assist an elderly married couple in their private residence. One participant is living with dementia, requiring attentive and knowledgeable care. The successful applicant must hold a minimum qualification of Enrolled Nurse (EN) to ensure appropriate clinical support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respectful and dignified personal care (e.g., bathing, dressing, grooming).
- Support with medication management as per care plan and clinical guidelines.
- Assist with community access including appointments, shopping, and social outings.
- Perform light domestic assistance including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with family and health professionals.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification: Enrolled Nurse (EN) with current registration.
- Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with dementia.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication skills and a person-centred approach to care.
Desirable:
- Experience working in a home care or aged care setting.
- Understanding of the NDIS and aged care quality standards.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $39.00 – $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 per week
