About the role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred support to male and female clients living with disability in Midland and Nollamara. Provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their homes or the community, with travel between clients and working short, split shifts required.
Shifts fall between Monday to Friday primarily between 7am to 8:30pm. Occasional weekend shifts required.
Responsibilities
- High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA) support
- Bring energy to activities like gaming, music and reading - bonus if you're a foodie!
- Personal care including showering support and supervision
- Foster client choice, expression, and daily engagement with the ability to think outside of the box
- Community access and transportation assistance
- Ability to work flexibly and pick up shifts at short notice
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated resilience and ability to maintain a positive attitude
- Unrestricted Western Australia driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID011
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Workers Check.
