Role Overview:
We are seeking both male and female Disability Support Workers with proven experience in personal care, the safe use of manual handling equipment, and medication management. The successful candidates will work closely with clients to meet their daily living needs, promote independence, and ensure safety and well-being at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality personal care, including hygiene, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Safely operate manual handling equipment (e.g., hoists, slide sheets, transfer belts, standing aids) and perform mobility transfers according to correct procedures.
- Administer and manage medications in line with organisational policies and relevant legislation.
- Assist clients with meal preparation, feeding, and household tasks.
- Support clients with community access, recreational activities, and appointments.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of services provided.
Essential Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in personal care, manual handling equipment use, and medication management.
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent (preferred).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 24 per week
