  • Assist with post-event reporting and data reviews to support continuous improvement.

About You:

  • Degree or near completion in Meteorology, Hydrology, Geography, Environmental Science or similar
  • Basic understanding of Australian weather systems, flood modelling, and climate data
  • Effective communication and organisational skills
  • Interest in disaster management, insurance, or emergency services

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience using weather mapping tools or data platforms (e.g. BoM, ArcGIS, Excel, Tableau)
  • Knowledge of climate science, rainfall/flood forecasting or alert systems

  • Listens well and contributes ideas to group problem-solving.

Project and Initiative Support

  • Supports small project tasks, tracking progress and identifying barriers early.
  • Contributes to documentation, reporting, and updates as part of broader initiatives.
  • Demonstrates awareness of timelines, dependencies, and the importance of coordination.
  • Observes and applies risk-aware behaviours when managing sensitive or high-pressure tasks
