About the role:
Have you thought of a career working in kindergartens, or are you currently working in a school, childcare or a kindergarten and want to work locally or help your local kindergarten community?
Council is seeking applications from Educators to work relief shifts in one, some of all of our sessional kindergartens. Our kindergartens are located in Boort, Dingee, Inglewood, Pyramid Hill and Wedderburn.
What is the role?
- Educating and caring for children 3 – 6 years old
- Short shifts 8:15am to 2:30pm however start/finish times can be negotiable
- Short kindergarten sessions of 5 hours a day
- Small to medium group sizes
- Working in small teams of 2-3 staff members per service
- Working both indoors and outdoors in natural outdoor play spaces
About you:
The successful candidate will have either of the following qualifications:
- a primary or secondary teaching qualification AND teacher registration in Australia AND an ACECQA approved certificate III level (or higher) early childhood education and care qualification.
- a primary teaching qualification only
- ACECQA approved certificate III level, diploma or Bachelor early childhood education and care qualification.
In addition, the successful candidates will have:
- a current Working with Children Check
- Protecting Children – Mandatory Reporting and other Obligations for the Early Childhood Sector certificate
- a current first aid and cpr certificate
- current certificates in the management of asthma and management of anaphylaxis.
