Our quest:

Hello. We’re the Y WA

We’re that local (Not-For-Profit) Early Learning Centre (ELC) located on Barker Street who’s all about inspiring and nurturing children to become independent little butterflies. And guess what? You’re a big part of how we make this happen.

You could be our new Early Childhood Educator ready to release your early years education passion. But let’s face it, you work to live! You’ll also enjoy the new Broome beachside lifestyle with hip and happening restaurants, facilities and soak up the local national parks, camping, fishing, diving and relish your awesome perks below.

Your awesome perks

  • Immediate access to the 10% ECEC Worker Retention Payment
  • $65,617.50 + 11.5% Super per annum
  • Plus, $4.97 p/h Remote Allowance (up to $9,691.50 per yr)
  • Offers a Broome Housing Allowance for eligible employees
  • Plus, Salary Packaging Remote Area Benefits (Incl claiming your rent / mortgage / utility bills & more)
  • Additional 1-week paid leave for the holiday season

What you’ll be doing:

If you live local, you might know our Broome centre? At the start of your day, you’ll walk pass our award-winning nature escape (and smile), catch up with your fabulous colleagues and your special little ones. You’ll be encouraging them to grow socially, emotionally while instilling a love for learning. Your Room Leader will work with you to develop individualised programs while maintaining developmental records and keeping parents informed. Then at the end of your shift, you’ll walk out the door (smiling again) knowing the children are continuing to develop in body, mind, and spirit.

You’ll be great in this role if you…

  • Have infectious enthusiasm and passion in early years education and care
  • Have a degree or diploma in Early Childhood or equivalent
  • Can obtain HLTAID012 First Aid certificate or equivalent
  • Understand the National Quality Framework & National Education & Care Services Regulations 2012
