We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic trainee to join our dedicated team at Currans Hill Childcare Centre. You will complete a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care whilst earning a wage and be mentored by a dedicated team of professional Educators and Trainer.
Tasks & responsibilities
As a Trainee Early Childhood Educator, you will be providing education and care for children from six weeks to six years of age. Your duties can include:
- Supervise and interact with children
- Assist with all room routines such as nappy change, rest and sleep, and food service
- Greet families and children
- Facilitate group time with songs, stories or other activities
- Assist children in developing life and learning skills such as self-feeding themselves and toileting
- Set up, implement, reset and modify programmed experiences
- Assisting the Educators with programming according to the Early Years Learning Framework including writing observations and contributing to planning activities
- Ensure that the centre's strict cleaning regime is followed at all times.
- Interact and encourage children's play with one another and help guide them in their choices when needed
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold no previous qualifications in Early Childhood and have not previously completed a Certificate III or Diploma Traineeship in another area of study.
- Possess a genuine desire to care for and develop children aged 0 to 5.
- Have completed, or be willing to complete, a Working With Children Check.
