The Faculty of Engineering is looking for an Education Administrative Officer to play a vital role in supporting our students’ academic journey and ensuring smooth delivery of key educational processes. As part of our collaborative Education Support Team, you’ll be at the heart of operations and governance — assisting with managing processes such as student progression, learning and teaching committee, academic integrity, exams, results, special consideration, and appeals.
This role supports the smooth and efficient delivery of these services by coordinating administrative processes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring effective communication and workflow across the team, The Education Administration Officer exercises sound judgement, applies procedural knowledge, and contributes to the ongoing improvement of administrative practices within the team.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
deliver general administrative and operational support
explore administrative issues and provide advice, recommendations, and solutions
ensure compliance with policies and always maintain confidentiality
actively engage across all elements in education support throughout the semester but also across the rest of portfolio support teaching processes such as student progression, integrity, special consideration, exams, results, and appeals
collaborate with staff and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards
undertakes ad-hoc projects and other activities related to the Education Support Portfolio
contribute to the Education Support communities of practice.
About you

a tertiary qualification with some relevant work experience; and/or equivalent combination of relevant experience and training
demonstrated administrative experience, preferably in the higher education sector
experience supporting education program delivery and managing student-related processes
proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills
high level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office suite
excellent organisation, attention to detail, and time management skills.
