We’re looking for a passionate, experienced Educational Leader to join our team at Journey Early Learning St Albans. In this leadership role, you’ll guide, mentor and uplift our team of educators, supporting them to create high-quality learning experiences for every child.
Centre Overview
Journey Early Learning St Albans is our brand-new, purpose-built centre set to open in late August. Designed to cater for up to 130 children from birth to five years, our centre has been thoughtfully created to inspire imagination, foster curiosity, and support every aspect of a child’s development.
At St Albans, we are building a passionate and professional team on the strong foundations of connection, communication, and consideration . Under the guidance of an inspiring and experienced Centre Manager, our team will be supported through ongoing opportunities for growth and development.

Your Role as Educational Leader
As our Educational Leader, you’ll be a key part of the centre’s leadership team. You’ll use your experience and knowledge to guide educators, build strong relationships, and ensure high-quality practices are embedded across the service. Your leadership will support a positive, collaborative culture where educators grow professionally, and children are supported to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and mentor educators to deliver inspiring, child-led programs
Lead reflective practice across the team to encourage growth and innovation
Use Storypark effectively to document children’s learning in a meaningful and professional way
Collaborate with the team to maintain consistent, high-quality practices throughout the centre
Establish, nurture and foster strong and inclusive relationships with children to support their development and wellbeing
Partner with families to promote open, honest communication and shared goals
Guide the team to meet National Quality Standard (NQS) requirements and deliver best-practice outcomes
About you:
You’re a passionate educator and a natural leader who’s committed to supporting others. You bring a warm, collaborative approach, along with strong programming knowledge and a genuine love for early learning.
Key skills and requirements:
A Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA recognised)
A strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Law
Demonstrated ability to create and implement quality educational programs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Current First Aid, PR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Certificates
Valid Working with Children Check
