United Equipment Services is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineering Draftsperson or Technician to support the design, installation, and maintenance of industrial electrical systems and equipment. This hands-on technical role requires strong knowledge of electrical control systems and proven field experience.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and interpret electrical diagrams, layout plans, and technical drawings for installations and circuitry.
· Assist in the design and development of electrical installations across substations, switchgear, cabling, and motor control systems.
· Install, wire, commission, test, calibrate, and service industrial electrical equipment to meet safety and performance standards.
· Conduct inspections, troubleshoot faults, and adjust systems to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and specifications.
· Collect and analyse data from electrical systems, perform complex calculations, and prepare detailed reports and charts to support reliability assessments.
· Estimate material requirements and costs to support project planning and budgeting.
· Support engineers and technologists with field setup, testing, and research programs.
· Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, system configurations, and materials used.
· Undertake workshop duties including assembly and installation of protection relays, metering, and indicating devices.
· Provide technical support both on-site and within workshop environments, working independently and collaboratively as needed.
About You
· Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field, or at least 3 years’ practical experience.
· Strong understanding of electrical control panels, circuitry, and safety protocols.
· Proven ability to work effectively in both field and workshop settings with minimal supervision.
· Excellent communication skills and attention to detail in documentation.
· Current full driver’s licence requires

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
