We are seeking a Lead Specialist Electrical to join our Perth-based team. This is a manager-level role offering autonomy and accountability, where you’ll provide expert guidance in electrical design, protection, and modelling. You’ll be instrumental in shaping strategies, ensuring system reliability, and driving technical excellence across our operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide governance and strategic direction for electrical system design.
- Lead short-term management of protection and reliability of electrical systems.
- Verify and assure electrical system modelling and updates.
- Maintain strong relationships with electrical teams across Gold Fields Global assets.
- Provide assurance and oversight for major electrical projects and modifications.
- Audit site electrical systems for compliance with Group and legislative requirements.
- Development and deployment of Electrical Group Standards.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with significant experience in a mining environment is ideal
- Expertise in power system design, protection schemes, and modelling software (e.g. ETAP, DIgSILENT).
- Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and compliance auditing.
- Proven ability to analyse equipment failures and conduct root cause analysis.
- Experience supporting commissioning, energisation, and fault investigations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
