The Maintenance Supervisor – Electrical & Automation is accountable for leading the site’s electrical maintenance and automation functions to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant equipment.
Based at Revesby, this role plays a key part in sustaining high-performance manufacturing by managing a team of qualified electricians, overseeing compliance with electrical safety standards, and driving continuous improvement in automated systems.
You will contribute to the success of Opal by:
- Provide technical oversight across PLCs, SCADA, motor control, and instrumentation systems.
- Support integration and optimisation of advanced automation technologies to improve performance.
- Partner with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime and enhance asset reliability.
- Ensure maintenance practices align with Opal’s safety-first culture and operational excellence standards.
- Lead and supervise the mechanical maintenance trades at the Revesby site, ensuring cross-disciplinary coordination.
- Oversee both electrical and mechanical maintenance outcomes, including compliance, asset care, and resource planning.
- Integrate electrical and mechanical teams to deliver cohesive plant reliability strategies and operational alignment.

For this role, we expect you will have:
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering and/or Automation.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in asset management (e.g. RCM, PMO).
- Proven experience in leading teams to deliver high equipment reliability and maintenance performance.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma tools.
- Experienced in problem-solving, decision-making, risk management, and ensuring compliance with statutory, legislative, and Australian Standards requirements.
- Skilled in performance management, process optimisation, and proficient in CMMS, SAP, and Microsoft Office applications.
