An exciting opportunity awaits for an Electronic Instrument Trades Worker to join the team at Anmar Scales, an expanding business that operates across Victoria and Southern NSW. Our thriving business covers all facets of the weighing industry from the heavy industrial sector to micro balances to which we provide sales, service, repair, calibrating and breakdown services of electronic weighing equipment, instruments and control systems to many of our clients. The suitable applicant will be required to complete all relevant paperwork, participate in training sessions and communicate any issues to management. The full-time role will involve always adhering to strict safety procedures while working both individually and in a team environment. The successful applicant will liaise directly with management on all levels and will be required to work some overtime which will include some weekends and overnight stays.
Duties Include:
- Be based in Albury and travel across Vic & NSW to competently carry out a range of scheduled scale tests, repairs, services, calibrations & installations of weighing equipment, instruments & control systems across many sites
- Maintain the NSW workshop including cleaning, organisation and day-to-day operations from this location
- Provide a breakdown service including fault diagnoses, testing and commissioning
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic principles to interpret code, compile documented reports and discuss with supervisors as well as customers
- Provide technical support and advice to prevent malfunction to customers through effective communication
- Submit paper work that is presented in a legible and tidy manner.
Preferred Qualifications (all advantageous, not essential):
- NMI (National Measurement Institute) Verifiers Licence Classes 6.1 – 6.4;
- Fitter Trade Qualification
- Computer Systems Training and/or qualification
- HR and/or HC Drivers Licence
- Forklift experience and/or Licence
- Construction Industry White Card
- Working at Heights Ticket.
Required Skills/Attributes (all advantageous, not essential):
- Must be available to travel away from home for overnight stays
- At least 2 years of experience working with complex electronic weighing equipment, instruments and control systems in weighing industry
- Weighbridge installing, testing, service, repair & calibration experience
- Mechanical experience and mindset
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to instruct customers of correct operating procedures to prevent malfunctions
- Demonstrate knowledge of Industry Standards and Safe Work Practices
- Ideally computer literate (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
- Integrity and honesty
- Eye for detail
