In this role, you will be a Senior Medical Officer or Staff Specialist, managing emergency care, including initial assessments, urgent treatment, and critical care in a fast-paced and challenging setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert emergency care to patients across a broad range of conditions
- Offer telehealth support and advice to remote locations
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care
- Participate in the 1:3 Standby On-Call roster (paid per occurrence)
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Emergency Medicine Specialist who possesses:
- A relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences
- Unconditional registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia
- Strong clinical experience in emergency medicine, with the ability to handle diverse and critical cases
- The ability to work outside of "ordinary hours," typically 10-hour shifts on an 8 on / 6 off roster (part-time options are available)
- A C-Class Motor Vehicle Licence
- A commitment to patient care and teamwork in a regional, rural, and remote setting
- An interest in public and/or Indigenous health would be an asset (though not mandatory)
- Competitive remuneration: Up to $725,456 per annum (pro-rata) based on full-time equivalent value, plus additional allowances and incentives.
- Attraction & Retention Incentive Allowance: 15% base annual salary + Emergency Department Specialty allowance (25%).
