Become part of a critical team for The Western Renewables Link Project (WRL), the largest transmission build in over three decades and the critical infrastructure required to unlock the renewable energy potential of Victoria as the state transitions to cleaner, more sustainable energy.
In this role as the Engagement, Reporting and Coordination Specialist, you will be making a key contribution to engagement at a regional level, supporting both the Stakeholder Engagement and Industry Engagement teams and taking up lead coordination of reporting across the Communications and Stakeholder and Industry Engagement Directorate (CSI) on the Western Renewables Link (WRL) project.
This role will also see you focused on providing a diverse range of coordination, support and administrative assistance to the Director and to the Level 4 Managers and their respective teams working on the WRL project.
The role is based in Ballarat, and includes the coordination of the WRL Ballarat office to support office operations and the wider WRL teams based from Ballarat. Your contribution will help build on our positive team culture and contribute to maintaining a safe, supportive and effective workplace.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
- Contribute of engagement and knowledge of local/regional advice and support engagement with key stakeholders during construction and early operations.
- Collaborate with delivery teams and contractors to plan and assess community engagement.
- Manage relationships with communities, businesses, suppliers, and local government (excluding hosting landholders).
- Overseeing the delivery of projects and partnerships between AusNet and key stakeholders/organisations in order to create place-based value along the WRL project footprint.
- Review and prepare confidential reports, correspondence and presentations using the suite of applications, ensuring high quality and consistent messaging and reporting.
- Coordination of monthly Directorate dashboard reports and project reports for internal and external project stakeholders.
- Preparing agendas and minutes for key internal project management meetings and periodic external stakeholder meetings as requested
- Diary and meeting management, email management, strategic support for the Director - Delivery and Operations, and where required for CSI Managers.
- Supporting the management of accounts authorization, processing purchase orders and invoicing, including liaison with the Commercial Manager
You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
- Solid knowledge and demonstrated experience with stakeholder and community engagement in a local/regional and project setting
- Strong experience in supporting and co-ordinating functions for projects and project management teams
- Delivery of high quality reporting, documents, minutes and agendas
- Ability to effectively work independently, solve problems and demonstrate proactivity
- A high level of organisational skills and demonstrated effectively handling multiple tasks, setting priorities, managing timeframes and meeting deadlines under pressure
- Experience in coordinating meetings and preparing associated documentation and packs
- Experience working in an Assistant/Project Co-ordination role
- Excellent understanding of and expertise in standard office software such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
