Job Description
The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Environmental Advisor, to join a high performing team supporting our Duketon operations. Reporting to the Environmental Superintendent, you will contribute directly to the planning, coordination, interpretation and reporting of our environmental monitoring activities in accordance with site and operational obligations.
This is a FIFO role, working on an 8:6 roster ex-Perth.
About the Role
- Conduct regular environmental inspections, sampling, and monitoring to ensure environmental compliance
- Support and monitor land clearing, rehabilitation activities and restoration projects ensuring alignment with local regulations and sustainability goals
- Conduct investigations and monitoring of environmental incidents
- Provide technical environmental advice to support the mining, underground and exploration teams
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, relevant licences and approvals, heritage protections & tenement conditions
- Support and monitor land clearing, rehabilitation activities and restoration projects ensuring alignment with local regulations and sustainability goals
- Liaise with local communities, and other stakeholders as required
- Support the preparation of mining approval and licensing documentation
- Develop and deliver environmental awareness training programs for mine staff and contractors
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Environmental Management Systems
- Prepare environmental reports, including audits and compliance documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
- Tertiary degree in an environmental discipline
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably within the resources sector
- Computer literacy and experience with MS Office suite and GIS software
- Working knowledge of WA environmental legislation and statutory requirements
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Current WA drivers licence.
