Environmental Health Officer
Council are seeking expressions of interest for a permanent full time Environmental Health Officer to contribute to Council’s success.

About the Role
The purpose of this position is to effectively and efficiently monitor and assess the level of public health and environmental protection within the community, to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
You will bring:
- Degree in Environmental Health (or a related discipline) together with relevant experience, knowledge and skills.
- Eligible to become a member of Environmental Health Australia.
- Knowledge of, and experience in interpreting and applying relevant legislation, Local Laws and Subordinate Local Laws.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to enable working with a diverse range of customers.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.
Eligibility & Pre-employment Checks
To be eligible for this position, the candidate must have applicable working rights.
Depending on the role requirements, you may need to complete various checks and assessments as part of the recruitment process. This could include reference checks, pre-employment medicals (including drug and alcohol testing), vaccinations, visa checks, licence verifications and psychometric testing.
The commencement salary will depend on the successful applicant’s qualifications, experience and competencies, graduate progression may apply.
University students currently studying a relevant degree are encouraged to apply.
