Primary objective
As part of the Accounts Receivable work unit, provide an efficient and effective accounts receivable service to client agencies,
issuing invoices, processing receipts and operating as part of a call centre environment in the management of debtors.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Process accounts in a timely and accurate manner ensuring that source documentation is in order and meets legislative and
agency requirements.
2. Issue invoices, credit/debit memos and processing receipts on behalf of NTG Agencies.
3. Ensure quality, up to date records are maintained by having consistent, accurate and timely processing standards.
4. Manage a portfolio of debtors to ensure successful recovery of revenue on behalf of our client Agencies.
5. Contribute to development of operating processes and systems and continuous improvement.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Sound understanding of customer focussed service delivery and experience in achieving organisational outcomes through
effective client engagement and negotiations.
2. Proven ability to organise work, meet deadlines and utilise initiative together with a demonstrated ability to work without
supervision, independently and/or part of a team.
3. Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop professional relationships with
clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
4. Proven ability to use information systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, data base software packages and file transfer
software packages.
5. Experience in revenue collection and reporting.
6. Demonstrated ability to implement and follow standard operating procedures and standard administrative practices and
principles including Equal Employment Opportunity, Occupational Health and Safety and Records Management.
7. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of commitment to service, innovative, ethical practice,
accountability, impartiality, diversity and respect.
Desirable
1. Knowledge of Financial Management Act, Regulations and Treasurer’s Directions.
2. Tertiary qualifications in accounting or business-related discipline or other relevant formal studies.
