About the Opportunity
This is a great opportunity to work 16 hours per week in a temporary position until May 2026.
As an Environmental Sustainability Education Officer, you will play a crucial role in integrating sustainability into the council's operations, ensuring a healthier and more sustainable future our community.
What you will bring
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
- Tertiary Qualifications in a related field of Environmental Management or Environmental Education and some relevant experience or less formal qualifications with substantial relevant experience in a related field.
- Proven experience in customer engagement and the development of environmental awareness initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Hold a current satisfactory Police Check or willing to obtain one.
- Current driver's license
Salary and Conditions
The position is classified within Band 6 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement commencing at $47.36 per hour plus statutory superannuation.
