Your Opportunity

As the Link and Launch Coordinator you will:

Oversee the ongoing delivery of the school-based Link and Launch program and engage with relevant agencies, business and industry partners and training organisations to maximise opportunities and secure pathways for Year 12 completers at risk of not successfully transitioning to work or further study.
Establish and maintain effective networks and work collaboratively with universities, training organisations, employers and industry groups to build strong and vibrant links that promote post school pathways for young people in the two years post Year 12 to make a successful transition to education, training or employment.
The Link and Launch Coordinator reports to the Director, Link and Launch. For day to day operational matters the Link and Launch Coordinator reports directly to the School Principal or Deputy Principal.

Your Responsibilities

As the Link and Launch Coordinator, you will oversee the delivery of the school-based Link and Launch program, engaging with past and present students, local agencies, support services, training providers, and business and industry partners to maximise opportunities and secure pathways for Year 12 completers at risk of not transitioning to further work or study.

As the Link and Launch Coordinator, your opportunities and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Provide and develop guidance for young people engaged in the program, including identifying pathways, monitoring their ongoing success, and maintaining relevant records.
Foster partnerships with other school staff, local training, higher education, and employment providers.
Provide practical assistance to young people to access required services and remove barriers to their engagement.
Work across a number of local schools to ensure Year 12 students are aware of the transition support available upon leaving school.
Market the service and undertake events and initiatives to raise the profile of the role within the school and broader community, including maintaining a social media presence.
Maintain the program budget within departmental guidelines.

Desirable but not mandatory skills for this role

Desirable skills are:

Is able to work collaboratively with existing school staff, including the Principal, Deputy Principals, Guidance Officer, Heads of Department, and School Leadership Team, as well as in partnership with nearby schools.
Has an awareness of and engagement with local youth support services.
Has experience working with older school students and/or young adults.
